Tucson Citizen RIP

Today marks 10 years since The Tucson Citizen published its last edition.  The Citizen was my hometown afternoon paper.  I was a staff photographer there for five years, from 1977 to 1982.  By the time I worked there, afternoon (or p.m.) newspapers had been in decline for over two decades, replaced by evening television newscasts.  Thanks to the Newspaper Preservation Act of 1970, the Citizen was able to go into a monopolistic joint operating agreement with the Arizona Daily Star and continue to serve Tucson well until 2009.  I am posting here a random selection of some of the photographs I made during my tenure there.
