Cuban flag flies again in D.C.

Cuban embassyA little after noon today I saw the news that the Cuban flag had been raised at Havana’s embassy in D.C. at a ceremony marking the reopening of the embassy. This the first time the flag has flown there in 54 years.

I just had to see for myself.  I knew that the embassy in on the west side of 16th St. and that if I hurried the flag would be still be in the sun and that the facade of the building would already be in shade.

This marks another historic moment in the restoration of relations between the U.S. and Cuba.Signs and flag
